Chow Chow Poriyal

Seasoning:
Mustard - 1 tsp
Bengal gram - 1tsp
Urad dal - 1 tsp
Cumin - 1 tsp
Curry leaves

Other Ingredients:
Oil - 2tsp
Onion - 1
Green chilli - 4
Ginger Garlic paste - 1tsp(optional)
Chayote (chow chow) - 1
salt - as per taste
chilli powder - 1/2 tsp

Method:
Heat oil in pan, add seasoning items in the same order mentioned above.
Add onion, green chilli. Fry till onion becomes transparent.
Add turmeric powder and ginger garlic paste. Fry till the raw smell goes.
Add chopped chayote. Fry till the masala coats well.
Close the lid and cook in  medium heat.
Add chilli powder once chayote gets cooked.
Fry for a minute and its ready to serve.
