Sura Puttu / Shark shred

 Goes with: Rice esp with Rasam

Seasoning:
Mustard - 1 tsp
Curry leaves - 1 sprig

Other Ingredients:
Baby Shark - 1 pound
Turmeric - 1/4 tsp
Salt - as per taste
Ginger Garlic paste - 1tsp
Green chilli - 6
Onion - 1

Method:
  • Pressure cook Baby shark with salt and turmeric for one whistle. Peel off the shark skin.
  • Shred the shark into small pieces (like puttu)
  • Heat oil in a pan, temper Mustard seeds and curry leaves.
  • Add onion, green chilli. Fry till onion is transparent.
  • Add ginger garlic paste.
  • Once the raw smell goes off add shark pieces.
  • Check the salt and make sure the masala is well coated.
  • Garnish with cilantro.
