Seasoning:
Mustard seeds - 1 tsp
Cumin seeds - 1 tsp
Curry leaves - a sprig

Other Ingredients:
Onion medium - 1
Garlic - 5
Green chilli - 6
Tomato - 1
Turmeric powder - 1/2 tsp
Rice - 1 cup
Toor Dal -1/2 cup
Coriander for garnishing

Method:
First soak toor dal and rice.
Heat oil in a cooker, splutter mustard seeds, then add cumin seeds.
Now add onion, garlic, green chilli and curry leaves.
Cook till onion becomes translucent.
Add turmeric powder and fry for a minute.
Then add tomato and cook till becomes mushy.
Add rice and dal. Leave for 3 whistles.
Garnish with coriander leaves.
