Seasoning:
Ghee - 2 tsp
Cinnamon stick - 2
Cardamon - 3
Cloves - 5
Bay leaf - 2
Other Ingredients:
Onion (thin length slice) - 1 medium
Basmati rice - 2 cups (rice cooker cup)
Coconut milk - 2 cups
Ginger garlic paste - 1 tbsp
Garlic peeled - 6 to 7 clove
Green chillies - 5
Cashews - 10
Water 2 cups
Salt - as per taste
Coriander for garnishing
Method :
- Clean the basmati rice and soak it in coconut milk for 10 to 15 mts .
- In a pan heat some ghee and fry Cinnamon,cloves, bay leaf and cardamom.
- Then add onions followed by ginger garlic paste. Stir well till the raw smell vanishes.
- Followed by green chilly, garlic, Cashews and combine well. Fry for few minutes so that the garlic gets roasted.
- For those who wants to add some veggie’s can go ahead and add it now.
- Transfer this mixture straight to the rice soaking in coconut milk and add the remaining amount of water specified.
- Cook it in a rice cooker or pressure cooker and garnish with coriander leaves.
