Ingredients:
Urad dal(ulunthu) - 1 cup
Onion small finely chopped - 1
Green chili finely chopped- 2
Curry leaves - 1 tbsp finely chopped
Coriander leaves - 3 to 4 sprigs
Salt - to taste
Oil - to deep fry vadai
Jeera - 1.5 tsp crushed
Method:
Tip:
If the vadai batter becomes little watery,add a tbsp or more of rice flour. But it will reduce the taste.
So leave the watery batter overnight in fridge to remove the excess water.

Method:
- Soak Urad dal for at least an hour. Drain the water completely and grind till it gets fluffy texture.
- Add water little by little while grinding.
- Once the batter is ready, add all the other ingredients and mix well.
- Let the batter sit for 10-15 minutes.
- Wet your palm with little water. Take a small amount of batter, flatten it lightly, shape them into round and make a hole in the center.
- Drop it carefully into hot oil, turning once in a while, deep fry till golden brown.
