Dal tadka

Seasoning:
Mustard seeds - 1/2 tsp
Jeera - 1 tsp
Hing - a generous pinch
Red chilli - 2
Curry leaves - few

Other Ingredients:
Toor dal - 1/2 cup
Garlic - 4
Turmeric - 1/4 tsp
Onion medium - 1
Green chilli - 4
Tomato finely chopped - 2
Salt - as per taste
coriander leaves for garnishing

Method:
  1. Pressure cook toor dal, turmeric, garlic pods for 3 whistles. Once done Mash well and keep aside.
  2. Heat oil in a pan and do the tempering mentioned in seasoning section one by one.
  3. Now add onion, green chilli and fry till it becomes translucent.
  4. Then add tomatoes cook till becomes mushy.
  5. Finally add cooked dal into the pan. Add required salt and garnish with coriander leaves.
