Semiya Payasam

Ingredients:
Ghee - 2 tbsp
Cashew - 20
Raisin - 15
Semiya/vermicelli - 1 cup
Sugar -1/2 cup (or as required)
Cardamom powder - 1 tsp
2% Milk - 5 cups (Whole milk - 4 cups)
Grated coconut - 2 tsp (optional)

Method:
  1. Heat 2 tsp of ghee, fry cashews and raisins.Keep it aside.
  2. Roast vermicelli in the same pan till nice aroma comes out of it.
  3. Boil milk in a heavy bottomed pan keeping the stove high.
  4. When milk starts to boil, reduce the flame to medium.
  5. Now add roasted vermicelli and cook till it becomes soft.
  6. Now add sugar, cardamon. Switch off the heat and garnish with cashews and raisins.
  7. Serve hot or cold....
