Seasoning:
Mustard seeds - 1/2 tsp
Cumin seeds - 1 tsp
Red chilli - 3
Fenugreek seeds - 10
Other Ingredients:
Boiled Eggs - 6
Onion medium - 2
Chopped green chilli - 2
Curry leaves - 5-7
Salt - as per taste
Ginger/Garlic paste - 1 tsp
Tamarind water - sqndueeze from one lemon size tamarind
Coconut powder/Coconut paste - 2 tsp
Cilantra for garnishing
Masala Powders:
Turmeric - 1/4 tsp
Cumin powder - 1 tsp
Coriander powder - 2 tsp
Chilli powder - 1 tsp
Method:
Heat oil in a pan, add mustard seeds, then cumin seeds,Red chilli and finally fenugreek seeds.
Add chopped onion and salt, cook till it becomes translucent.
While the onions are getting cooked, add curry leaves and green chilli.
Once onions are cooked, add turmeric powder and ginger garlic paste.
Once raw smell goes , add little water before adding masala.
Then add cumin powder, coriander powder, chilli powder.
Add coconut paste once the masala is cooked. Add tamarind juice and enough water.
Adjust the salt. Cook for 15 minutes in low flame.
Now add boiled eggs and leave it for 3 minutes.
Garnish with cilantro.
