Quick Tomato Kurma

Good with: Idly and dosa

Seasoning:
Mustard seeds - 1 tsp
Cinnamon stick - 2 small
Clove - 3
Cardamon - 2
Cumin seeds - 1 tsp

Ground Paste:
Split channa dal (Pottu kadalai) - 1tsp
Coconut - 2 tsp
Red chilli - 4

Other Ingredients:
Onion big - 1
Tomato - 3
Green chilli - 2
Curry leaves - 1 sprig
Coriander leaves for garnishing

Method:
  1. Heat oil in a pan, add all seasoning items mentioned above.
  2. Add onion, green chillies and curry leaves.
  3. Saute till onion becomes translucent.
  4. Add tomatoes and salt. Cook till tomato becomes mushy.
  5. Then add the ground paste , check salt and boil till the raw smell of besan goes.
  6. Garnish with coriander leaves.
