Dal makhini

Ingredients:
Black Urad dal - 3/4 cup
Kidney beans - 1/4 cup
Onion finely chopped - 1 medium
Tomato puree from - 2 tomatoes
Butter - 2 tsp
Cream - 2 tsp

Seasoning:
cumin seeds - 1 tsp

Masala powders:
Coriander powder - 2 tsp
Red chilli powder - 1 tsp
Garam masala - 1/2 tsp
Crushed Methi - couple pf pinch

Ground paste:
Garlic - 7
Ginger - 1 inch
Red chilli - 5

Method:
  1. Cook Black urad dal and kidney beans in the cooker for 5 whistles along with pinch of turmeric powder, salt, half of ground paste.
  2. Keep in medium heat and Cook for 15 minutes. Mash the dal well.
  3. Heat oil and butter in a pan, add cumin seeds, when it crackles add onion and fry.
  4. Add the remaining ground paste.Once the raw smell goes add the tomato puree and masala powders.
  5. Once done add cooked dal. Add cream and leave for one boil.
