Bitter Gourd curry

Good with: Rice, Dosa

Ground Paste:
Fry dry and grind all the ingredients listed below.

Red Chilli - 6
Kadalai parupo/Channa dal - 1 1/2 tsp
Urad dhal - 1 tsp
Coriander seeds - 1 tsp
Cumin - 1/2 tsp
Coconut - 3 tsp

Other ingredients:
Bitter Gourd - 2 (cut into slices)
salt - as per taste
Onion - Big
Tamarind pulp - lemon size
Jaggery - 2 tsp (as per taste)
Turmeric powder- 1/4 tsp

Seasoning:
Oil - 2 tsp
Mustard seeds
Urad dhal
Curry leaves

Method:
1. Add salt, water and thinly sliced bitter gourd in a pressure cooker and leave for one whistle.
2. In a hot pan add oil and season it
3. Add onion and cook till becomes translucent
4. Now add tamarind pulp, cook till it boils, then add jaggery, Turmeric powder
5. Now add the ground paste, add enough water. Cook for 5 mins.
6. Add the cooked bitter gourd. Check for salt and garnish with coriander leaves.
