Goes with: Idli, Dosa, Aapam
Ingredients:
Onion - 1
Tomato - 1/2 or 1
Tamarind - without seed little bit
Hing - a pinch
Red chilli - 6
Cashews - 5
Method:
Heat oil in a pan, add red chilli, Tamarind and Onion.
Fry till it becomes translucent. If you want your chutney to be sweet, you can fry til golden brown.
Then add salt, hing and tomato and cashew. Cook till tomatoes are mushy.
Switch off the flame and allow it to cool.
Then grind the chutney. If you want you can season it with mustard, urad dhal and red chilli.
